Car-sharing benches are intended to improve mobility in rural areas

In many communities, especially in rural areas, the connection to public transport leaves a lot to be desired - this is a big problem for people without a car. Car-sharing benches can help to improve mobility.

The city of St. Blasien recently installed three ride-sharing stations in Menzenschwand and Immeneich. If the project proves successful, more stations could follow.

“If you take a seat, I’ll take you with me,” is the idea behind the ride-sharing benches. The idea is to improve the mobility of people without cars in areas with longer intervals in local public transport.
