The sun has always been an inexhaustible source of energy. It not only provides the earth and its inhabitants with vital light, but nowadays it is also used to generate electricity. Using a photovoltaic system adapted to the needs of the house, the electricity for the house's own needs can initially be covered.

This includes, for example, heating the building with the help of an electric heat pump and generating electricity for the house's own electrical devices. In order to conserve the excess electricity generated during the day for the evening and night hours, it is a good idea to install a storage battery. As soon as this is fully charged during the day, excess electricity is fed into the energy supplier's public grid. Thanks to this ingenious system, not a single kWh of valuable electricity is lost and all electricity generated during the day is used sensibly. Since the roofs of the southern Black Forest receive a particularly large amount of solar energy due to the high altitude and fog-free location, this renewable form of energy is ideally suited to producing electricity in this country.

Of course, the self-generated electricity can also be used to charge the battery of the electric car.

In winter or on cloudy days, the electricity supply is provided by the energy supplier, which closes the cycle of sustainably generated electricity with green electricity, for example from hydropower and wind power.
